Writing a targeted resume is always helpful as it is designed for a specific job with information and experience required for that job is always presented first. This makes the resume more appealing to the employers and in most cases they would definitely keep such a resume under consideration.

The objective should be clearly stated first. This is the first thing an employer notices and an impressive objective will ensure the employer takes interest in looking at the rest of the resume. Some people ignore the importance of the objective statement and thus fail to gain the attention of the employer.

One should always state one’s strong points first. If experience is more valuable then technical qualifications then the experience should be mentioned first. If technical qualification is an applicant’s strong point then it should be mentioned first to great a good impression in the employers mind. One should always state why he would be suitable for the job and how it would benefit the company to hire him.

Most people tend to include irrelevant points and experiences in their resume which makes it incredibly long and thus increases the chances of annoying the employer. They do not have enough time to consider each and everything in the resume and thus a long resume with irrelevant point is generally ignored by the employers.
